First Timers Are Always The Best!

Don't you agree first timers are always the best? whether it's meeting a person for the first time or simply a new experience..Here's a blog post rewinding back to early this year where i meet a couple of bloggers for the very first time and the joy of it we clicked instantly!!

Early this year Bonjour Glow as she is known in blogosphere, organized a small gathering at Pavillion as it was her "first time" coming down to KL.The main purpose of gathering was to catch up with bloggers whom she as gotten to know through blogs, and according to her it was a different experience as she has never meet any bloggers or formally attended an event in KL. We all meet up casually at Carls Jr over lunch and let the photos do the talking..

It was an interesting catch up over lunch i must say.We shared our own stories from blogging,like what made us start out blogging in the first place to blogging tips and the most interesting part blogger gossips.Everyone would agree as much as the world of blogosphere has to share,there are certainly loads of juicy stories to share and digest..*evil grin*.Shah had to leave earlier on as he had to head back to work,while the rest of us went walking all around Pavillion.

Now comes a rather interesting part,we were busily snapping photos when a sudden topic of whats your age emerged.Now never ask a girl whats your age or she might just kill you..haha just kidding..So we shared our age and birth dates and so happened the very next day happens to be my birthday..Glow suggested we get a few cupcakes to have a pre celebration..how thoughtful!! But before that let me introduce to you the wonderful peeps!!

Where should i start at? Tikkoss quite often metions he's gay virtually yet straight in person.He's someone you can turn to when your having a bad day..cos quite simply he cracks the lamest of jokes.He currently resides in China and his current location is unknown

Soon more and more oppurtunities came my way and i received more advertorials and exclusive money can’t buy invitation to best parties around KL.I still remember Boss Tim and Jestina kept on mentioning how pro Nuffnang i was but the best part of being a Nuffnanger is...we are all one happy big family .So The year went on from good to even better!!

Year 2010 was arguably the highlight for me!! I received a call from the Nuffnang Office earlier that year inviting me to come over for a short discussion.They claimed it was something important and further details would be discussed on that very weekend..I was nervous as hell..So on a Saturday i headed to the office not knowing what to expect and i was greated by many friendly faces and yeah there were a few bloggers i knew as well.So Robb explained this private meeting was merely the purpose to to join Nuffnang’s Glitteratti Plus Club.Gliteratti Plus is a club for active event going bloggers and loyal ones as well and we were promised more exclusive invites.So they elected the commitee called the Council Of 5 to run the club and i was honoured the Treasurer Role after being voted by my fellow bloggers.It was one of the best moments in life and being the youngest Council member made it all sweeter..

Whewww..i’ve written alot...but before i conclude this post..here’s a flashback some of the best moments!

Wrangler Jeans Media Preview

So i received a phone call from Nuffnang somewhere at the end of June for an upcoming Wrangler Concept Store Media Preview at Sunway Pyramid...Thinking it was just another opening of a new store i was most delighted when Anne mention that myself & 9 other bloggers together with models were going to be modelling their latest collection..Now that got me all the more excited..

prior to the event on Thursday,all 10 bloggers and models had to report to the Wrangler Store 2 days before on a Tuesday to get our fitting and outfit picked by stylist Steven.

The Runway

The Runway was set as early as 8am on the day in the morning when all bloggers and models arrived for our full rehearsal..had this butterfly feeling in the tummy early in the morning as i am used to covering fashions shows but this time around being the one to walk down that runway represented yet another immense and wonderful experience...

A special thanks to our Choreographer whom added a lil spice to the show by interacting us on stage with the dancers that day..Not forgetting Cat-walk Guru Bella Rahim for her tips as well..
Rehearsal turned out oh so fun and soon everyone headed for lunch before arriving back to get our hair and make up done...

I had the privilege of attending 7aste Queenstown at Booze JB on June 10th followed by the second one at Ecoba 7 days later..Like every year since 7aste arrived here in Malaysia,each year has a very own theme..7aste this year themed Queenstown New Zealand brings yet another twist of excitement by letting you experience the very exciting culture at Queenstown New Zealand.

7aste made it first appearance down town Johor Bahru at Booze Permas Jaya for the very first time as well..If your not to sure what 7aste is all about...how does partying like a A-list celebrity sound to you??

So i shall begin..having been away from events in KL for a couple of month due to my long holiday away from uni,life's been pretty boring back home..till Bryanlyt mentioned that 7aste is making it's first big appearance down town Johor Bharu..which so happens to be my hometown as well..so i couldn't say no when he invited..well on the very day i had Nathalia accompany me for the event..even though we reach there a lil late due to traffic jam,the party was just about to begin..thanks to Leonard for speeding up the process for entering...Not to mention for reserving a table for us..

A fortnight ago, courtesy of a generous invitation from the peeps at Jaya One and Nuffnang,i was invited along for a Food Hopping/Food Review outing at Kinnaree Thai Restaurant,BBQ Chicken,Frontera Mexican Bar & Grill & The Bee with a bunch of Bloggers from Glitteratti+

Alright since we hopped to 4 different eateries on the very day,i'm breaking down this post into 2 parts.

First Up

Kinnaree Thai Restaurant

On our first stop, we visited the Kinnaree Thai Restaurant,
As the name goes,this restaurant serves a variety of Thai Cuisine food with a wide range of yummylicious appetizers - desserts that would certainly tickle your taste buds.
Kinnaree is set in a cosy and relaxed environment with wonderful blend of soothing music playing behind while you bite into their delicious offerings.Located at Palm Square,Jaya One and to this date they have won various awards:

--> Thailand's Tatler Best Restaurant Award
--> TimeOut KL Food Awards 2009 & 2010 for the best Thai/Indochinese Restaurant.Word!

For starters,we had the famous Pomelo Salad

The salad itself has the ala thai taste and it is mixed with various different spices to
give it a mouth watering taste.Despite the many different spices added the salad is not too spicy..Just the way i like it!

Papaya Salad!! i've not come across any dish like this before and trust me eating sliced papaya fried with flour which is oh so crisp and served with beans & nuts makes your taste bud rumble wild

Main Course

The meat is served with a wonderful blend of ginger in soya sauce and one of the waitress mentioned that the meat is left overnight in a bowl with different seasoning mix..That explains the scrumptious taste.Recommended

Arguably one of my favorite dishes of the day!!

The steam fished is steamed with many different spices and i reckon with a lil asam paste as well..It has the savory tom yam taste and it's served with thick paste Lime Sauce

Fresh seafood on hot plate!!
served with Prawns,Sotong,Scallops and a few other secret ingredients :D

Since small i've always been a big fan of fish thanks to mum!!
so next is a wonderful dish called the Tamarind Fish

Had the very same dish back in Hatyai,Thailand a few years back but ironically it taste event better here..now now
The Fish is deep fried until Golden Brown and served with a small portion of sweet and sour sauce..it is awesomely crispy and every bite you take just makes you crave for more..

Tom Yam Soup!!served with seafood inside this wonderful soup is rich in ingredients and flavour and is the perfect selection if your having flu..due to the strong taste of spices and curry feel,your
certain to get cured more quicker!

Green Curry Chicken is prepared by roasting the chicken with the many different herbs and sauce and it is served with green peas santan curry gravy.The meat is tender and the portion is served with only Chicken breast meat..

Looks like normal vegetables right??trust me the sheer taste of the Morning Glory dish is like non you have tasted before..it's rich in vege and soup and it has that sweet and spicy taste..Must Try!!

Kinnaree Thai Restaurant(Jaya One) is an outlet that i'll certainly visit more frequently!!
The place is awesome for gatherings and bringing your family there will certainly make them come back for more..

Food Review:The Coffee Trap Story

A couple weeks back..courtesy of Coffee Trap Bistro & Party..i had the complements of attending a food review outing with them..Located in a small town called Permas Jaya of the straits of Tebrau.The Coffee Trap story first beginned 10 years ago..yes 10 years..known to most as Mouse Trap back then when it first opened in the suburb city of Johor Bahru...They slow grew and today,situated in Permas Jaya they are now known as Coffee Trap Bistro & Party..Their business picked up and then soon another outlet of theirs called Juicy Trap opened 2 shop lots away from the present one.

Unlike other food review outlets i have attended..this one was pretty different..Most of the time
on the day of the review,services at most restaurants are pretty good compared to normal days..simply because everyone wants good publicty and a good write up on their place..I went on a Saturday (a day before the actual review)without informing anyone from Coffee Trap that i'm coming over..and too my surprised
the service on the day before the review was just as good as the day of the review.Now Back to business...
A day before the review i manage to catch up with Miss Juliana(Owner & Founder) of Coffee Trap and Juicy Trap via Facebook.

A short message she shared with me on the place:

It was never a reason how Coffee Trap was found..it was simple place that got out of hand..
Because it grew and grew..and we are all here still contributing to it..
Some survived,some gone,All of us are totally addicted to the place!!

All energy,tears,sadness,happiness,anger,insults,comments are imprinted on every single part of the place and most friends regard Coffee Trap as their everyday life meeting place.

As for the lamb shank the sheer tenderness of the meat gives you the crunch feeling while chewing it..

Verdict: Highly Recommended!!

On a personal note,the place is well lighten with warm white lights that make the place all so cozy..and the crowd that comes by this outlet consist of mainly a mixed crowd of International and Locals.

In totally there will be 100 cars taking part!! i kid you not,this is arguably the biggest Treasure Hunt in Malaysia..and we TEAM G+ are proud to be part of it at the same time give a helping hand to Hospis Malaysia..well Hospis Malaysia is a charitable organization that offers professional Palliative Care to patients who are suffering from life-limiting illness.

International College Of Music Night Out!!

ICOM'S Night Out

It began with The Celebrities Club inviting ICOM to come and play at their Venue.
The concept was to allow our musicians the exposure to learn and shine at the same time.The
concept of this was for a self interest and to govern it to greater heights. So for the first show
of ICOM'S NIGHT OUT, Our Line Up was- The Granadilla Band, Instrumental Soloists and
Gellobeam. The night would then end with a Jam Session. Everyone would have had fun and
enjoyed themselves, gone home happy.

However, Last Thursday, the Producer of ICOM'S Night Out, Joanna Marie Gough was
approached by a fellow student in college. Natasha Humera Ejaz, a student from Pakistan
voiced out about her country and how that the suffering there is far worse than what we could
possibly imagine. That 20 million people are in need of Aid. Immediately after that, talks were
done on the same day to change the production into a charity show. 100% of our RM20
CoverCharge would be given to Mercy Malaysia's Pakistan Relief Fund. Our Musicians,
Sound Engineer and Stage Crew were all willing to give up their payment and cut to aid those
who need it more than us.

That was the turning point. The voice of 1 Pakistani Girl who wanted to help her home
country.With only 6 days(including the weekend) before the actual day of the show, we already
comprehended this- We would not be able to raise enough money that we could possibly
want to.Therefore we decided to use our musical talent show to be a voice for a change.We
may be little but we can most certainly share a message with the community of Malaysia.
That The Youth of this country is able to be the voice of change. That we in our own talents
and passions can still help whether it'd be only 5 days that hooked all of us around from a
show to a charity and our insistence that Pakistan, in its Slow Rise Tsunami urgently needs
help NOW..
We want to play our part to help, especially if this helps one of our fellow friends

Biography of Bands Performing for the Night.

⁃ What started out as a genuine appreciation of musicality amongst musicians turned into a
band that is tastefully listenable. An indie band that draws its inspiration from real life
experiences and shares a perspective on life that is easy to understand and relate
to.Having different musical backgrounds from pop,rock,jazz,rnb,soul and hiphop the
band most certainly has an "anything goes" approach to their music.Though whatever
sound the band go for they always keep to their original goal which is to be tasteful. Less
than a year old this band certainly shows much promise for the greater.

Instrumental Soloists

Loh Ui Li on the Piano

⁃ Loh Ui Li began playing the piano only 2 years ago. Being an electone player, Loh Ui Li
found it difficult switching to piano as the touches and timbre were far different and was
difficult to control. However she was inspired by Japanese Piano Player, Hiromi Uehara.
WOWed by her dynamics and emotions presented in Hiromi's pieces Loh Ui Li was then
determine to express her love for music on the piano. She shall be presenting herself on
the piano, solo playing Jazz Fusion pieces.

Eugene Yeo Yu Chuan

⁃ A small town boy from Kuching, Sarawak trying to make it big in the music industry,
Eugene Yeo has been playing the violin for almost 13 years now and is still going. Being
brought up in a musical family, he picked the violin at the tender age of 6. However, his
love for the violin was not immediate. In fact, it took some time to even hold the string
instrument correctly in the beginning, as he is left-handed. After overcoming that
obstacle, he started performing in his early teens and soon grew to love being on stage.
Now at the age 19, the aspiring performer has performed extensively around Sarawak,
Sabah and Johor. The kinds of music he brings to his audience ranges from instrumental
acoustic to latin and world music.

Terry Tim

⁃ Terry Tim began learning the guitar back when he was 15 years old. In those days he
played it for the fun of it and could never have dreamt that he'd come up to study music
as a Degree. Until one day when he was dared to learn and play "Drifting by Andy
McKee" -In 3 Days. Since then, Finger style Percussion has become his life influence. His
mentor and life influence is now Antoine Dufour whom he looks up to, to improve.

GELLOBEAM

⁃ The band first found each other after a series of fortunate events at The International
College of Music, where each band member connected with one another on a musical
level. They were the Crazy Pianist Loh Ui Li, Pie-Loving Bassist Daniel Subah, Slumber
Guitarist Richie and The Loud Drummer Cliff Wong. However, the completion of the
band came only when they added their vocalist Annmarie Stanislaus. Be prepared to be
entertained by their unique sounds from RnB, Ska (similar to Raggae Pop) and Broadway
Ballads.

A short introduction on the movie:

Right,I bet you loyal readers got this weird feelings with this introductory of this post because that's not the usual "Suresh" kind of style,right? :) Don't doubt yourself,you're currently at http://theredhalf.blogspot.com/ Fact that,another blogger is here to somehow pollute & make some noises around. Well,I won't want to scare you readers off due to my "oh-so-pwetty" pictures because Suresh will haunt me down if his amount of readers decreases like nobody's business. My name is Vanessa Lim Siu Fun,& you can call me Vanessa. They said: Do not judge a book by its cover so yeah,don't judge me. Somehow,you'll find it hard to judge me & Suresh knew the reason. :P I annoyed him most of the time (in a good way okay?!) & he enjoyed being annoyed by me. How wonderful. Suresh,I am praising you okay so please be proud of yourself. :P But I have to say,Suresh aka big monkey is an awesome friend to me. I thank God for bringing him into my life(as a friend). Seriously,he helped me out a lot,in every ways. :) No matter in studies or something which involve my personal life,indeed,he helped me a lot by giving out precious advises which yes,I truly admire him. & sorry big monkey,your small monkey here always annoys you with her lame jokes & all.

But I received great feedbacks from him. So if you do not smile at the end of this post,I am a totally failure. :P So I beg you people,smile okayyy? :D & you better leave some comments saying that you want Vanessa to own this blog. Muahahaha! So anyway,Suresh is not what you thought okay? Well,the loyal ones should know but I bet those passerby(s) wouldn't know so yeah. To me,he is like my brother who guides me basically in everything. Someone whom is precious to me. King kong,I know you're tearing so please get some tissues for yourself before you go any further. Hahahaha! Or perhaps king kong is very angry right now. Imagine his nose coming out with smokes & his hair are all up. Omg! Perhaps too much of cartoon? :x But well,don't you people feel 10 times younger while reading this post? Or am I just fooling myself around? (:O

Basically,I wouldn't have much to elaborate since that big king kong is nagging & curious to find out how "sweet" I am right here so yeah. Perhaps if I have a chance,I'll come back & annoy you people again alright? International College Of Music -The Final Friday

The International College Of Music Proudly Presents: The Final Friday Performance

Date : 7th May

Time : 4.00pm - 6.00pm
Venue : Recital Hall, ICOM
Admission : Free

The Final Friday Performance began many years back as a get together sessions for
the students to perform on stage. Competition amongst students were at its peak
back then. Everyone wanted to perform. The culture evolved overtime and became a
Tradition. Performances grew. The attitude of the culture maintained. The
International College of Music maintained this and now, every semester, Friday
Performances are held weekly to select a winner to perform for The Finals- known
as The Final Friday Performance.

So for this semester, 9 musicians will be performing on stage. All from different
backgrounds and influences but with 1 commonality, their passion for music.
These musicians are Irma Seleman, Feri Lau Widjaja Bong, Jesica Yap,TerryTim,
Eugene Yeo Yu Chuan, Cliff Wong, Kelly Phoon and Khoay Vern Hanz.
They've made
it to the finals. The competition is now amongst the best.

To further introduce you to the young musician that will be performing,here's a lil introduction on them

Hey Everyone, How you doing?
I'm Irma Seleman from Penang. I'm a vocalist. I do R&B and Funk. My singing and
music style is influenced by great R&B vocalists and musicians such as Chaka Khan,
Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Rachell Farrell, Marcus Miller, Incognito and many
more. I am a self thought vocalist who listens to mostly Pop, Malay Pop, and Rock.
I was introduced to the music world by my dad. He's a part time musician. When I
joined ICOM, I realized that I had just stepped into a whole new world and started
listening to other types of music. Now, I relate myself more to R&B and Funk.
This how I express myself the best, through my music and also by doing covers. I
sing a lot for public gigs in cafes or pubs. I've also done a lot of weddings and corporate events too.

Hi,
I'm Feri Lau from Indonesia. I'm an all rounder bassist but my main interests are
more towards Fusion, Funk and Jazz . I am a self taught musician and began by
playing the guitar first. Later I moved on to playing the bass when I entered Farabi
Music school and by the time I was ready, it was 2007 and I came here to ICOM to
further pursue my studies.

Hi,
I'm Jesica Yap and this year I am going to be 21 years old. I'm an Indonesian pianist
and started to first learn the piano at the tender age of 7. I studied under the
ABRSM examination board and once I had my grade 8 Certificate in Music, I came
here to the International College of Music to pursue further my love for music in the
Berklee Transfer Program.

Hi there, My name is Eugene and I am a contemporary violinist/performer. I'm 19 this year and a small town boy from Kuching, Sarawak, trying to make it big in the music industry. (fingers crossed) I come from a pretty musical family; my mum's a piano teacher and my siblings play musical instruments as well. I picked up the violin at age 6 and I've been playing it ever since. I also play a little piano on the side.

Hello there, I am Cliff. I am a drummer and i enjoy performing as well as studying music here at ICOM. I am originally from penang, moving to KL after my final year in secondary school, to pursue my dreams and career in music. What really moved me in to music was pretty much my father, with the collection of old records. I was exposed to music since childhood, with old records of my father, from Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and to Lee Ritenour and Dave Grusin. My father influenced me in a way there were so many genre of music that i could enjoy too. At the age of 12 or actually 11 during the middle of december, i was first exposed to the drums. My Father had an idea of wanting a musical band where, my sister sings, me playing the drums, my brother on guitar and my dad on the bass.

I'm Terry Tim and I am from Myanmar, a small country. I grew up listening to
Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin from my father. One funny thing about me was,
when I was about 4 to 5 years old, I won't sleep until my father played Beethoven's
symphony no.9 for me.
I started learning the guitar when I was 15. But back in those days, I played the
guitar just for fun. I Never took it seriously nor dreamt about going abroad to study MUSIC

My name is Whang Jungeun or better known as = Haru. I am from Korea and I am
going to be 25 in June. My main and major instrument is Vocals.
Before coming to Malaysia I was studying at a Korean Music College. Now I'm doing
the Berklee Transfer Program at ICOM.
My experiences in Malaysia are in the ICOM Tributes where I was a backup vocalist
in the Tribute to Michael Jackson 2009 and as one of the main vocalists for the
Tribute to U2, 2010.

I'm Kelly Phoon. i'm in my final semester in the Foundation In Music program here
at ICOM and my major instrument is, the piano. I took up piano
and organ lessons
when i was five and have been brought up in a strong musical
environment.I think
this is probably why my passion in music has taken me so far.
I wanna go the distance with professional skills to produce and and
arrange music
pieces. I myself have composed and arranged some pieces. Most of
it instrumental
compositions.

Title of Song to be Performed : Toumeo Ninjen by Tokyo Jihen
Genre: Japanese Pop

Hi there, my name is Hanz. I am a music composer and performing
artist. I am currently studying in ICOM.
I am originally from Taiping, Perak, and I am now here in KL to
pursue my career inmusic.
I hardly remember what inspires me into music actually. But somehow
my family
members used to tell me that I was already playing the piano myself
since I was 3
years old. I used to play by hearing all the while, and somehow I
started writing my own melodies since I was 11 years old.

Photo shoot Outing At Desa Park City

Greetings peeps!!hope everyone's having a good week so far :D

Alright a couple of weeks back i planned a photo shoot outing at Desa Park City,nearby Kepong..with Evon being my Model for the day..Since the weather has was pretty hot,we planned for a morning shoot to avoid looking like burned chickens!!

It was my first outing doing a shoot since getting my EOS 450D in January..YES!! i'm still new to the world of Digital Single Lens Reflect(DSLR)camera...

The view across the lake at about half past 7 in the morning

The first shoot was done at the jogging track near the lakeside..trust me this place is quite beautiful with the smell of fresh air from the cold breeze makes you feel so much freshier!!

The effects of the background was good..looked more like a wallpaper behind..
but i assure you..it's beautiful mother nature at it's best!

One of my personal favorite photo from the shoot..it gives a sense of calmness
while sporting the sense of relaxation..

It was a fun shoot nonetheless and a lesson learned a photo tells a story by just having a look at it,but memories from a photo brings back priceless memories!!!

Life has it's ups and downs but always remember from those ups and downs
a valuable lesson is learned and it only makes you much more mature and stronger!!

Lil Cheerio In The House

Greetings! :) I obviously do not belong here,neither am I the rightful owner of this domain. I strongly doubt that any of you would know who'd know who I am in; heck lets just see if you can recognize a similar or particular style even if I'm not exactly where I'm supposed to be. To be very honest,I'm not exactly sure if I'm suppose to write more about myself or the author.

I've always wondered how would it be like to throw yourself out to be in a place where you're often exposed to chances of being judged for what you write,and most importantly about your personal opinion in things. There was this one point in time when I did feel a tad bit upset about how some of the many things that I've written sort of threw me into this dark corner where people don't quite agree with what you think. Well folks,thats one of the downside of being a blogger. Its all about finding the essence of making you what you are, the person and the individual that you portray to be; and everything else shouldn't really matter. :)

A friend spoke to me the other day,lets name him Tornado wtf.

Tornado is probably one of the few people I know who's so capable of doing it all, having things set out in manners which only an extremely capable & strong individual can pull off what he does. He sees the future in his hands; trust me my vision of future is a far cry from what he sees in his. Something admirable, some larger than dreams itself, that sometimes its too much too handle.

We all have our dreams, some to marry a rich husband and wishing that he dies young to inherit his wealth to travel the world wtf. Some to own an empire so huge that money ends up working for you. Some to be the most famous person earning all the well deserved fame living life in the fast lane. Some wishes to marry his or her perfect other half,have kids, grow old and pluck each other's grey hair on a rocking chair.

There are some,who wishes to just be happy.

Nobody realizes the value of happiness because its something we don't measure; or rather the scale differs according to every individual. Happiness is something that money can't buy, and even if you were to put up with an argument that money can buy happiness; I'd gladly tell you that there's a whole new level to what happiness truly is about.

I've once had it all (not that I've lost it!),whether it is the money that grows on trees, the most expensive bags & apparels, the spending power and frankly, I have it all. Then as the years passed,I'm only twenty-one; that I realize that when you finally have it all at a young age; you realize that all those materiality are merely impermanent happiness. When I got caught in all my desires and apparent dream, I nearly lose myself in it.

Some build their lives through the past; usually end up in circles.

Some build their lives through the present; usually in denial.

Some build their lives through the future; usually end up losing everything important.

So what do you build your live upon?

My humble suggestion, to build your live around all three of them. :|

The past to remind you of how you get to where you are, the present which teaches you the importance of appreciating what you have, and the future to get you all geared up to held your head up high towards your dreams. I'm not exactly the best example,but I'm a living proof that you should never give up in the things that you believe in; even when all else comes falling down on you.

Its all in the phase of growing into what you'll become,and nothing is impossible. I'm pretty dysfunctional in someways,but I'm sure we all are in our own ways. To my dearest friend Tornado, some sacrifices might turn out unnecessary. Its not everyday that you find somebody to love,who loves you in return; the clock does not tick its tock backwards.

Hope I didn't bore you,and I'm honored to be here. :) Not gonna post a back link because this is obviously not gonna be an advertorial opportunity; just given a chance to be babble my thoughts here! And if you've figured out who I am, thanks for noticing.Its not everyday that you get to share your thoughts for the sake of sharing them;and nothing else.

First and fore most this is a post with regards to a Nuffnang Screening..

To begin with i never actually had a first date..i'm sure most of you guys would be saying yea rite??but it's true..=p
anyways if having your first date with a good friend is counted...then the most memorable date i had would be with good friend of mine (Sze Ling) during my 20th Birthday celebration last year.

It was memorable because spending time with a good friend during you birthday really makes your day and you feel so much appreciated...and the though she took leave from her uni work to spend the day with me was really really sweet!!!She's very much the big sis..

Have you guys heard of Allison Iraheta before??

If you haven..here's a short introduction on this young singer.Allison Iraheta is a young 18 year old American Idol finalist whom finished season 8 in fourth place.Yes!! she was on the very same season as Kris Allen.Born on April 27, 1992 in Glendale, CA,her debut album "Just Like You" was released on 1st December 2009 and thanks to Sony Music i manage to get my hands on her album.I've been hearing all night on the way back from a Food Review outing last night..and all i can say is,she sounds really really good.For someone so young whose still in her teenage years,she has a very matured voice and not to mention a very powerful one as well.

Allison has quite an interesting name i must say having being born to American and Spanish parents.She more of punk rocker and she has awesome vocals as well..she reminds me of Avril Lavigne during her younger days with her hair highlights and all

Having heard all the tracks from her album,the song that really caught my eyes or rather ears would have to be "Don't Waste The Pretty".I personally felt this song had alot of emotions and a story to tell.I've always believed that to understand a story being told through a song,the lyrics in particular has to be spot on.

Kris Allen Live In KL - Showcase -

As most of you die hard American Idol fans would have known,Kris Allen was here in KL last week,8th of February for a Showcase concert...Yes you heard it right...The American Idol season 8 Champion was here for the very first time...For those of you who missed out on it..here's a small recap on the very day itself..

The line up of the day:
1.Kris Allen Media Press Conference at The Gardens Hotel -3pm
2.Kris Allen CD Autograph Session courtesy of Sony Music at Midvalley Center Court -6pm
3.Kris Allen Live In KL Showcase at Gardens Ballroom -8pm

Being a showcase the invites for Kris's performance was strictly by Exclusive Invites only..therefore the fleet of his fans who attended the Showcase at 8pm were either contest winners from the Hitz.Fm Cruisers or they had won it from other supporting partners.

Kris's Autograph session at Midvalley's Centre Court..The handling of the session was well organize and not to mention Kris had his own security team called Kris Allen security.The security was fairly strict but as usual some lucky fans,mainly girls manage to hug their favorite idol.

After that,it was time for the Showcase concert...headed to The Gardens Ballrooom to enter the Media Area before the fans come rushing in...

Bumped into Nicole and Tian Chad as well,they were there representing LG and they had this 2 news HP's with them..whats cool is they had to take photos of the showcase with the phones and blog about it...as the saying goes Life's Good with LG...

The night got interesting when Serena C announced there were Silver plated Gold coins by Poh Kong up for grabs..and as you already know..girls get attracted to this easily *winks*..Michelle..Wen Pink and Coco tried their luck...they were asked to poll dance..LOL

Hey peeps...this is my very first post of the year..A New Year has begun and i believe it's gonna be a fruitful year ahead..

Alright the month of January has always been a good month for me...not because it's the first month of the year..but because of the warmest wishes from friends and family i get on my birthday...anyways a few days ago a friend of mine Kristine celebrated her 21st Birthday with a bunch of blogger's and family..known to most as SolitaryRose(Kristine)
